We had a 100' tall Chestnut Oak go down in our back yard during a recent storm. It was only due to a favorable wind that kept it from hitting our home. Steve's crew did an excellent job in removing the tree and grinding the stump. Quality work that we have come to expect from Steve and his crew!

We had three trees removed from a small yard in Old Town Alexandria. Highly technical job that included a very large Mulberry that overhung neighbors' property on both sides and was crisscrossed by no less than three service lines, as well as cable lines. Also included large elm that was less than 10 feet from house. I honestly did not understand how it would be possible to safely get rid of these trees. The crew did not bat an eye when they saw the situation. They skillfully and methodically took down the trees, often having to proceed painstakingly slow to work around obstacles and avoid damaging structures. I would have full faith in this crew to take on extremely challenging/technical jobs.

I've used Big Steve and his crew three times, once to trim a tree above my house and twice to remove branches that had fallen or were hanging from the tree. Steve is great, thorough and obviously loves trees, when I asked him about certain hanging branches, he told me what was healthy and could stay, so he didn't do more than he had to. He also came for my initial price quote very quickly and was able to do the job a few days later after i emailed the signed price quote back. The lady who answers the phones there is great too!

Highly recommend Big Steve's. I had them take down a large tree and grind down the stump. Workers were kind and efficient. They cut all the wood down to 16-20 inches pieces for me to split later. The price was the best part! I got their winter discount which was nice but their full price still came in under what the other companies were offering with a discount. Office was quick to respond and got my job booked quickly.

Big Steve came out right away to address my concerns on a new home property that had invasive trees and tree shrubs destroying a custom-made $30,000 fence. Their estimate was very reasonable given that ten fence panels needed to come down and go back up after removal and five fence posts needed to be replaced due to the damage. The job took two days to include taking down two trees near the front porch. Big Steve also adjusted their schedule to remove invasive tree shrubs from the neighbor's property affecting the party fence and water and sewage exterior pipes. I had a pretty bad experience with not being able to get another company to show up and complete the work I needed to have done. I had been given the run around by them for over a month. I called Big Steve's after getting too fed up. They were very professional and had the work COMPLETED 2 days after my initial phone call. I think they are great and would highly recommend them.
