What Our Certified Alexandria Arborists Can Do for You
We often see trees as sturdy, permanent elements of our outdoor environments. However, a host of issues can threaten their health and lifespan. Bugs, fungi, and disease spread infections that may or may not be readily visible. Roots may grow above ground, and branches could hang over powerlines. Two trees may have grown close together and now compete for space and nutrients. Smaller issues, like damaged or overgrown branches, could pose a threat to your children’s safety as they play in the yard.
With more than 15 years of experience caring for the trees of Alexandria, Big Steve’s Tree Care will assess your tree and determine the most appropriate form of maintenance. Whether your property is residential or commercial, we will provide comprehensive services to protect your home or business and ensure a long, healthy life for your trees.

Local Guide
I had a pretty bad experience with not being able to get another company to show up and complete the work I needed to have done. I had been given the run around by them for over a month. I called Big Steve's after getting too fed up. They were very professional and had the work COMPLETED 2 days after my initial phone call. I think they are great and would highly recommend them.

Wonderful experience with Big Steve's. First of all, they had the lowest quote. And the team that came out today to remove 5 holly trees was quick, friendly, neat, efficient and super professional. I would hire them again and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Steve came and gave an honest appraisal. He could have charged us more to save an old damaged tree, but gave an honest appraisal of the outcome. New chose to have it cut down and the stump removed. Big Steve was the cheapest of all the INSURED services we had come out. They came and did the job right and fast. There is a reason everyone recommends them - they are professional and good.

Affordable, reliable, and best of all INSURED! Don't fall into the trap of the guys who knock on your door and tell you that your tree needs to be removed and for cash they'll give you a great deal. Get a quote from Big Steve, you'll be impressed!

I will use Big Steve again.
I've used Big Steve and his crew three times, once to trim a tree above my house and twice to remove branches that had fallen or were hanging from the tree. Steve is great, thorough and obviously loves trees, when I asked him about certain hanging branches, he told me what was healthy and could stay, so he didn't do more than he had to. He also came for my initial price quote very quickly and was able to do the job a few days later after i emailed the signed price quote back. The lady who answers the phones there is great too!
